The Titanic Eastside Bike Tour
Visit the birthplace of the Titanic and the community that built it.
Service Description
A fun, guided bike ride along Belfast’s riverside paths and greenways to visit where the Titanic was built and get to know the community who built it. Join Steven Patterson, Belfast native and Northern Ireland's leading expert on the greenways and cycle paths that wind their way through East Belfast. This relaxing tour explores the birthplace of the Titanic and the living history of the community that built it. We explore the SS Caroline, SS Nomadic and the massive Thompson Dry Dock where Titanic was fitted out. Moving into East Belfast past the giant yellow shipyard cranes we join the Connswater and Comber Greenways which Steven himself played a pivotal role in establishing. We explore the C.S. Lewis Sculpture Park and enjoy a guided tour of the Victorian Templemore Baths, where Shipyard workers bathed and relaxed. We finish off at the Titanic Hotel, visiting the stunning Harland and Wolff drawing offices where the Titanic was designed. Steven will share little known knowledge, stories from the communities he has worked with for over 25 years and help you understand the history and feel the beating heart of this unique city.
